How to be in both the material(is tic) and spiritual worlds?
Having just spent time in New York - one of the most materialistic cities around, it's hard to find the balance between the world of materialism and the world of the spirit - which northern California is very much more prone towards.
Granted, there are plenty of people living in N. California who are deeply immersed in the land of materialistic things. Who are they wearing? How are they put together? How is their hair style? What shoes are they wearing? What purse are they carrying?
Walk fast, talk fast, accomplish, strive, get ahead. Do, have, be.
And then there is N. California - land of spiritual consciousness. A slower pace of life. Be, do, have.
How you look, who you are wearing, doesn't matter. You are going to die. How are you going to live?
How are you living your life? How are you making a difference for your having been alive today?
